About King’s Classical

King’s Classical School was founded by members of St. Paul’s Anglican Church to serve the families of Greenville seeking a classical, biblically faithful education in a five-day-a-week school.

It was founded on the belief that parents should not have to choose between excellence or a Biblically-faithful Christian school. Both of those qualities should exist in a single school.

Looking forward

King’s Classical School is currently offering K5 through 2d grade. We will add a school grade each year.

“In such a tender season for our family, finding a school where our son would feel truly known, loved, and surrounded by the love of God every single day became our deepest prayer. King’s was an answered prayer. We saw a community that could walk with him—pouring into his heart, nurturing his spirit, and reminding him daily of God’s love. It means everything to know he’s in a place that sees who he is and who he’s becoming during such a formative age.”

Our mission

To educate students with excellence and virtue through a distinctly Christian worldview.

What is a Classical Education?

Instill purpose within each child from an early age. The Greek word for this purpose is Paideia. Paideia is a description of the values we love, the truth we believe, and what we assume about the nature of the world.

What is a Classical Christian Education?

The source of the Paideia is Christian: love what Jesus loves; dislike what Jesus disliked.

How is a Classical Christian Education Different from Modern Education?

The prevailing trend of modern education is to train a child for an ultimate career. Classical Christian education departs from the modern trend by preparing students to be excellent learners, rigorous thinkers, and effective doers.

Learn how to think, not what to think.

From our leadership

Our school was founded because of a need. A need for families to have an excellent education with Biblical virtues in the city of Greenville. Our hope is that in the years to come, generations of students and their families will thrive from the education they received at King’s Classical School.

“That all the peoples of the earth may know that the LORD is God; there is no other.”
